To be eligible for admission to the BE/BTech course at Coochbehar Government Engineering College, the candidate has to score a minimum of 45% aggregate in class 12 in a relevant stream from any recognised board. Eligible students will have to appear for the JEE Mains/ WBJEE exam, followed by JOSAA/ state-level counseling, and score valid marks to be eligible for the course. To take admission, apply for counseling at the official website of the conducting body, and choose this college in the choice filling.

CGEC offers B.Tech programme admission through WBJEE or JEE Main, and its cut off ranking has to be a part of the cut off ranking, that can be obtained in this way. You need to complete the 10+2 of the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematic and should have at least 45% aggregate a it. WBJEE counselling (WBCAP portal) is made to allocate seats and afterward, the verification of documents and payment of fees are completed at CGEC admission office.
