The courses that are provided in the MSc stream at IISER Mohali and IISER Pune are different because IISER Pune offers MSc courses for two years in Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics and Physics specialisation and one integrated course.

Following the release of the IISER results, a seat allocation list with the roll numbers of candidates assigned seats in the BSMS course through various routes (SCB, KVPY JEE) is made public. On July 15, 2024, tentatively, candidates can check the first round allotment list on the exam's official website.
