You have to appear for JEE Advanced to get admission into IIT. In JEE Mains you have to secure a very good score, so that you get eligible to appear in Advanced.

If you are sure about your JEE Mains score then you should start preparation of JEE Advance. If you get a good score in JEE Advance then you can get admission in IIT.
