How can I get admission in NIFT for pursuing fashion designing course? What is the eligibility criteria for the same?

Madhavi, NIFT conducts entrance test for admission. The tests are going on these days. For Bachelors you need to be 12th pass and for Masters you need to be a graduate. These days even reputed universities have started offering degrees in fashion designing. Many of these universities offer on field experience to students by making them working with different companies as on job training project. Many a times interaction sessions with who's who of the fashion industry are organized. Some of them hold graduating fashion shows for students, thus giving students a real time exposure to what it is to work on and off the ramp. The basic eligibility criteria to pursue a course in National Institute of Fashion Technology is successfully completing 10+2. Admissions are done on the basis of an entrance examination i.e CAT & GAT. After clearing, there is a situation test which is followed by a group discussion or a counseling session.
