NIMS University admission is both merit and entrance-based. The university offers a wide range of programmes to students at UG, PG, and PhD levels. Further, the university is mainly concerned with stream such as Nursing, Engineering & Technology, Management & Commerce, Humanities & Social Sciences, Medical and Allied Sciences, etc. Admission to most of the UG and PG courses is done through the university's in-house entrance exam, i.e., NIMSEE.
