How can I get admission in one of the good colleges for M.Sc biotechnology? Is it necessary to apply through any kind of competitive exam?

I appeared for NEET along with 12th which wasn't cleared. I scored 68% in 12th. I have completed my first year with my GPA of 6.39 (semester: 5-93 and semester: 6-86).
