How can I get admission to M.Tech Communications Engineering at the IITs?

<p>In order to secure admission to M.Tech in Communications Engineering course at the IITs, you must meet the minimum eligibility requirements. You should have <strong>at least 60% marks in your bachelor's degree in a relevant field</strong>. For reserved category candidates, the marks eligibility requirement is usually relaxed by 5%. Further, you have to <strong>appear for the GATE exam</strong>. You must secure a good rank in the entrance exam as it plays the most important role in the admission process.</p><p><strong>After you successfully secure a decent rank in GATE, you will have to appear for the COAP counselling process where you will be allotted a seat according to your rank </strong>at one of the IIT branches in India. <strong>Often, there is also a written test or interview round after the GATE results are announced. </strong>Interestingly, if you are an IIT BTech graduate with a CGPA of 8 or above, you need not give the entrance test and are eligible for direct admission to the course.</p>
