To get into the MD course offered at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, students need to first fulfil the admission criteria. The basic eligibility of the programme is to pass MBBS from a recognised university. Aspirants need to appear for NEET exam. Those who clear SGPGIMS cutoff need to participate in the counselling conducted by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and Director General of Medical Education & Training, Uttar Pradesh.
