    For getting admission to M.Tech courses in Power Engineering at the IITs, you should have at least 55 to 60% marks in your bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a relevant field. If you belong to the reserved category, the marks eligibility requirement is usually relaxed by 5%. Also, you have to give the GATE exam. You must secure a good rank in the entrance exam as it plays the most important role in the admission process.

    After you successfully secure a decent rank in GATE, you will have to appear for the COAP counselling process where you will be allotted a seat according to your rank at one of the IIT b
