RC Patel Institute of Technology, Shirpur, has the following procedure for admissions:
- Eligibility Criteria:
For B.Tech Admission:
You must have completed your 12th board examination with subjects as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
The aggregate minimum score is usually around 45% to 50% in the 12th exam (subject to the category, as reserved categories have lower cutoffs).
Some branches may require more, such as minimum scores in Mathematics.
2. Entrance Examination:
RCIT holds 95% admissions through MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) as this is the state engineering admission test.
Otherwise, they can also be admitted through JEE Main scores if applicable.
Be sure to apply for MHT CET and check out the official notification for exam dates, registration last dates, and syllabus.
3. Application Process:
MHT CET: Go to the official website of MHT CET and register online for your examination. Post-examination registration will be followed by centralized admission process (CAP) filling followed by college allotment.
JEE Main: If the candidate is using JEE Main scores, he or she may require to complete their specific procedure of direct admission through JEE Main set forward by RCIT.
4. Merit List and Counseling:
Once the examination results are released, the RCIT will release its merit list as per the student's score either in MHT CET or JEE Main.
You would have to go through the counseling process (CAP) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra, or opt for the direct admission procedure if using the JEE scores.
5. Document Verification and Admission:
Now post the counseling process, your 12th mark sheet along with your entrance exam scorecard-cum-caste certificate, other relevant documents are to be submitted.
Payment of admission fee, dependent on the course as well as on the category, should be paid as soon as possible.
Alternative Direct Admission: In case students have not gotten any seat under MHT CET or JEE, they can look at the management quota seats, if available, in RCIT. For exact details, check with the admissions office of the college.
