The SOA Admission Test (SAAT) or JEE Main scores of applicants are the primary means of determining their eligibility for admission to the BTech programme at SOA University. The SAAT is not required of those who have a valid JEE Main score. To provide a fair and comprehensive selection process for BTech candidates, the university uses a comprehensive evaluation approach that takes into account the results of both its proprietary admission test and national-level entrance exam results.

SOA University admission is based on the SAAT exam or equivalent qualifying exam such as JEE Main, GATE, NEET, CAT, MAT, etc. It has a separate merit list based on the candidate qualifying for the exam.
