How can I get financial aid to pursue PGD in Canada?

Hello Jishnu, With 70% in Bachelors degree why do you prefer PGD. Definitely you can get into Masters program as 2 backlogs is not an issue at all. Try to score 6.5 in IELTS with no band less than 6. You will definitely get in some of the reputed Universities in Canada. Some of the universities which I could suggest you based on your Bachelor's aggregate assuming 6.5 IELTS score : 1) Concordia University, Montreal 2) University of Windsor 3) Dalhousie University 4) Carleton University 5) University of Western Ontario 6) NYIT, Vancouver Try to prepare a strong SOP Coming to the financial aid : As per the Canadian Immigration, you can show funds in two ways: 1) Pay 1 year tuition fees and Deposit 10,000$ in GIC 2) Show Bank loan as financial proof. If the amount sanctioned is less then you can show money in your parents S/B account (Remember : The money has to be there until the visa is approved) To increase your chances, you can also show semi-liquid cash in the form of Fixed Deposits, LIC's, GPF,PPF etc. To be precised, 25 lakhs of loan sanction letter is more than enough and you need not show any additional financial proof.
