CLAT does not publish a fixed number for this topic. It is tested within the wider Quantitative Techniques section, so the count changes by year and paper.

Questions can be direct, composite, unit conversion based, or part of a caselet. They test whether a student can pick the right formula and read data carefully.

Learn all basic formulas. Practise unit conversion daily. Draw quick diagrams for composite figures. Revise common traps often to build speed and accuracy.

There is no single fixed book. Most students use standard Class 10 maths books. They combine this with CLAT-specific practice sets and previous year papers.

Start early, along with other Quantitative Techniques topics. Strong basics in formulas make composite and caselet questions much easier later on.
