How can I get into Adler University for MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling?

In order to secure an admission, all overseas applicants must fulfill certain Adler University admission requirements listed below:

1) Master's and PhD Requirements:

• A baccalaureate degree earned from a regionally accredited college or university or an equivalent degree from an international college or university;
• Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate schools attended;
• A recommended GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for undergraduate and graduate coursework;
• Statement of intent (SOP);
• Resume or curriculum vitae;
• 2 letters of recommendation (LOR)
• Proof of English language proficiency; and
• Interview (for PhD courses).

Note: Applicants with a GPA below 2.5 are considered on a case-by-case basis.

2) Certificate Course Requirements:

ONE of the following:

• A clinical degree (couple/marriage and family therapy, medical family therapy, counseling, art therapy, psychology, social work, or other related mental health field that leads to clinical licensure); or
• Licensure or provisional licensure in one of these fields, or;
• Be currently pursuing a clinical degree and are practicum eligible.

Academic Requirements:

• A recommended GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale;
• Resume or curriculum vitae;
• Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate schools attended; and
• A statement of intent specifically outlining the applicant’s interest in becoming certified as a Sex Therapist, consistent with the mission of the certificate.
