Bharathiar Palkalaikoodam has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| BVA | Candidate should not have completed 23 years of age as on 1st July 2023 and age relaxation by three years is applicable to Physically Challenged and Scheduled Caste and Tribe candidates. Apart from the above said candidates, no age relaxation will be given to any candidate under any circumstances. |
| BPA | Candidate should not have completed 23 years of age as on 1st July 2023 and age relaxation by three years is applicable to Physically Challenged and Scheduled Caste and Tribe candidates. Apart from the above said candidates, no age relaxation will be given to any candidate under any circumstances. |
| BFA | Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised school/board. |
