Guru Nanak Dev University College, Patti, GNDU has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| M.A. | Candidate who has passed master's degree of this or another university in another subject or an another faculty can also apply. |
| M.Com | Candidate who has passed B.Com/ B.B.A./ B.CAM/ Bachelor of E-Commerce with the mentioned marks in aggregate or equivalent examination from a recognised Institute/ University are eligible to apply. |
| PG Diploma | Candidate who has passed graduation with mentioned marks in aggregate or equivalent examination from a recognised Institute/ University are eligible to apply. |
| B.A. | Candidate who has passed 10+2 from PSEB/ CBSE or from any other recognised board are eligible to apply. |
| B.Sc. | Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised school/board. |
| BCA | Candidate who has passed 10+2 with the mentioned marks in aggregate or any other equivalent examination from a recognised board are eligible to apply. |
| UG Diploma | Candidate who has passed 10+2 with the mentioned marks in aggregate or equivalent examination from a recognised board are eligible to apply. |
| M.Sc. | Graduate with Computer Science IT/ Computer Applications / Computer Maintenance as one of the elective suibjects with mentioned marks in aggregate, or BCA/ B.Se. (IT)/ BIT or equivalent thereto with atleast 50% marks in aggregate. Or Graduate with mathematics as an elective subject and Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications / PG Diploma in Information Tech, / PG Diploma in E-Commerce & Internet Application or equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate. |
| B.Voc | Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised school/board. |
| BBA | Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised school/board. |
