    Admission to IIT Bombay's MDes programme is based on the applicants' performance in CEED, followed by a written test and inteview conducted by the institute. Candidates who have a valid CEED score and fulfil the preset eligibility requirements can visit the institute's official website to submit an online application. Such application must be submitted along with the required documents and the applicable application fee which varies from INR 150 to INR 300 for different reservation categories.     Candidates must have earned at least 55% (50% in the case of SC, ST, or PwD) or comparable grades in the qualifying degree for each of the individual streams. The Common Entrance Examination for Design for 2024 (CEED 2024) should have also been a prerequisite for all candidates. An MDes programme, lasting two years and four semesters, is offered at IIT Bombay. The institute offers MDes at the postgraduate level in five disciplines through the Industrial Design Center. The MDes programme is open to applicants who have earned at least a 55% aggregate degree (or 50% aggregate for SC, ST, and PwD) or similar grades in the qualifying degree

    IIT Bombay admission to MDes programme is entrance-based. Candidates have to follow the below steps to get a seat in the MDes programme:

    Step 1: Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements have to pay an application fee to register for MDes course. The application fee for General/ OBC male is INR 300 and INR 150 for SC/ ST/ PwD and all female candidates.

    Step 2: IIT Bombay selects candidates for MDes programme based on CEED score. After qualifying CEED, the institute releases a category-wise merit list for each stream. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for IDC written test followed by an interview round for final selection.
