Hi Krish, MIT scholarships are based on financial need and not merit based. You will be automatically be considered for scholarship at the time of admission however you need to fill the financial aid form. Please go through this section for details

Dear Malhar, These are very few University in the world (I mean very few) who offers the core specialization of Machine Learning in Masters Level. Either they offers MS in Data Science or particularly MS in Artificial Intelligence. Now, coming on to eligibility, then yes, you have to come from engineering background (not necessarily from CS or IT) to opt for this course. The minimum requirement of MHCET score is 60% for MIT, so I am sorry to say that you cannot have a chance to get MITSOT. Try other colleges or prepare yourself for the next year and bring the best out of you.
