Government colleges affiliated with Central government don't directly give admission without JEE Main. Some state governments conduct their own entrance exam for admissions and some also give admissions on college level counselling on the basis of 12th marks. Madhya Pradesh government colleges for example. So this is the only way if you want to opt for a good college then Apply with JEE Main.

3 years agoHello Deepanjali Pathak, let me explain. JEE Mains is entrance exam for centrally funded government colleges. It's not the entrance exam for government colleges funded by state governments. For such colleges, concerned state govts conduct entrance exam. So if you want to get admission in government college of your state, you need to give entrance exam conducted by your state. Best wishes to you.
