Read a lot of books, not necessarily school text books and grammar books. Read novels and a lot of good books as it is a good way to learn new words and expand your knowledge. Keep referring to the dictionary.

I think you need someone to guide you because English is not about cramming the rules from a book, it needs time and practice.
