How can I improve my technical and communication skills?

Hi, In order to improve technical skills, choose the domain that you want to be in. If you are already in one, then a mix of theoretical and hands on knowledge helps. More so hands on. Do lot of study from books, online, papers, research documents, follow blogs and websites that share relevant contents and you can take up host of free courses from online resources these days. Use it for a couple of months and become confident. Once you have concept in mind, look for internships or opportunities for freelancing in the technical domain. If you are in a working environment already, then much better. As far as communication skills is concerned, it comes with practice. 1. Talk to people, learn to break the ice with strangers and new members around you. Assign yourself tasks like - Make x new friends from your own familiar environment where you have been shy to talk and interact 2. Be confident about various topics like hobbies, interests, hometown, general knowledge, music, movies and inspirational stories etc. Good content makes you confidently communicate/ 3. Listen effectively when others talk. And acknowledge it with regular nods, and verbal acknowledgements. Ask questions and show interest when communicating to people 4. Eye contact is also important when communicating as it builds trust. If you need professional courses on communication skills then why not. You could enroll too. Wish you the very best.
