How can I integrate Mathematics with IT?

I am a Mathematics lecturer for 8 years. I would like to settle in IT field. I Love Scripting also along with Mathematics. I am good in VB Scripting as well. I would like to choose the Best technology irrespective of the complexity in the subject.
