How can i join Indian Foreign Service?

To join Indian Foreign Service you need to clear Union Public Service Commission examination conducted by Indian government every year. This examination is conducted for services like IAS, IPS, IFS and IRS. You need to specify your choice from among these services in order of your preference. Examination is conducted in two phases, Preliminary and Mains. Where preliminary is multiple choice objective questions comprised of General studies, English , Aptitude and General knowledge on the other hand Mains is completely written examination based on your choice of subjects specified while filing application form. After clearing these phases candidates are called for personal interview. Based on these three phases, after computing marks of all phases, merit list is prepared. And at last based on merit list candidates are allocated to services they opted for in decreasing priority order. Minimum qualification required to appear for this examination is that you have to be graduate in any stream of your choice.
