    To pursue a career in the research field, first, you have to pursue graduation and then post-graduation and Ph.D in the concerned subject in which you want to do research. Another option is after completing graduation, you can give various entrance exams like UGC NET for JRF and also many PSU exams for research department according to the vacancies.
