How can I make my career in the gaming industry? Which course should I pursue?

Hi Prince, Game industry roles are well diversified. I answered a console game workflow sometime back (Rajat Ojha's answer to What is the workflow for developing console games?). Of course mobile games are less demanding but you need to first figure out what you want to do in the game industry. Considering the fact that you want to be a programmer, its a great start. Focus on problem solving and mathematics as much as you can. Technologies will keep changing, basics dont. You can pick any simple game engine like Unity of Game Maker. Id suggest to go with Unity as community is huge, tons of videos, samples etc youll get and its very relevant. Play games to dissect them I.e. understand who things work. Try to implement those. Dont focus on building big game, focus on working on PoC and get them right. These PoC will be your entry in any game studio if you can justify what you did and how you did. Get in touch with industry people and stay in touch with them. Understanding basics of photoshop and 3D software wont hurt but its not mandatory. Feel free to raise more queries. All the best.
