How can I make my career in the scientific field?

It is good to hear that you do not want to join run of mill engineering career opted by majority of students today. You are advised to opt for B.Sc (Hons.) in the subject of your choice. If you do not a pet subject, you may evaluate doing B.Sc (Hons.) physics which opens multiple options at post graduation degree level. -
Dear,
Based on your interest you may select your honors subject and go for B.Sc followed by M.Sc. You may think for B.Stat from ISI or honors in statistics from renowned college. It has also a wide prospect. But what I think B.Tech in mechanical or electrical may be interesting for a student who likes pure science. See, judge and go ahead.
