You can appear for CDS examination conducted by UPSC in your 8th semester. As you are an engineering graduate, you need not appear for CDS to join Technical branches in Defence Services. You are eligible for direct entry commission. You may look for advertisement of Engineering Graduates recruitment in national newspapers.
