Hello Gaurav, go through the syllabus once and you will get basic ideas from where to start. NCERT books of class 1-10 are helpful for beginners, for maths and reasoning R.S Agrawal's book is best. You should read newspaper daily like Times of India, Economics Times.

Before taking admission in any institute you can also start preparing it by yourself by purchasing the study materials, magazines, be regular updated about current affairs, get monthly magazines etc.
