You can get ample guidance in many questions on Shiksha already. English, Basic Awareness about Journalism and Mass Media shall be the pre-requisite to get good out of the entrance tests.
Visit their website to choose the courses. It is also to be remembered that they may come up with new courses in the new session.

    Hello Aishika,
Preparing IIMC Entrance Exam you just need to aim on few things but prepare them with full concentration. For advertising and PR you just need to focus upon the preparation of - english communication, history (printing press/ communication - mainly of India and little of world too), introduction of advertising concept (like first person to introduce ads. , First advertisement, the latest trends in advertisement, types of ads. , Some popular ads. , Their tagline/ punchline etc. ), names of PR agency, their role etc. , current affairs, general knowledge, recent popular punchline of ads. Hi Aishika,
You can apply for the IIMC advertisement & PR admission (next year)/ the best way to prepare for the IIMC entrance is going through previous years question papers. So, I will suggest you go through the last entrance test paper of advertisement and PR plus talk with someone who did the course from the same institute. Don't waste your time on studying something that will not help you to clear the entrance.

    Read these books:
    1. Encyclopedia of Advertising and Public Relations.
    2. Any book related to Journalism and Mass Communication. I recommend Arihent but the book has wrong answer keys. You must have information about these topics
    1. Top Ad Agencies (National and International)
    2. Press Boutiques
    3. History of Advertising and PR
    4. Edward Berneys and PT Berinum
    5. Basics like History, concept, tools and need.
    6. PR, Publicity, Advertising, Propaganda, Bandwagon, etc.
