How can I prepare for IIT as I have long hours of school and then lot of home work to do? Is coaching must for IIT and other institutes?

I am in class 12th from Chennai.

Hello Ashish, Number coaching institutes are not a must. There are many students who join IITs with self-preparation. It's tough but not impossible. With studies of 12th, it further complicates the issue. It is for this reason that many students take break of one year to exclusively prepare for IIT
