The exam is considered as one of the most difficult competitive examination as every year lacs of students write JEE Main and only 2.2 lac aspirants shall be eligible to write JEE Advanced which is only a fraction of the total students taking the exam. Out of these, 10,000 to 12,000 finally get selected that is less than 1% of the total numbers. About 0.8% of the total students appearing for the JEE are able to get through to the IITs.
