How can I prepare for JEE Mains (or other competitive exams in India) without any coaching?

5 years agoThere are lot of YouTube videos. At some point though, you will have to take tuitions, not formal coaching, because the concepts get hard and problems get tough. Study NCERTs thoroughly and do at least 10 years previous papers to see how much you understand. There is no requirement of coaching as such, it is just a hype but you will definitely need external guidance sometimes. -

5 years agoFor JEE Mains, go through NCERT books, HC Verma for physics and R D Sharma for maths. Surely, you will get a good rank. -

You can prepare for any competitive exam without any coaching. For JEE Mains, you need to deeply prepare all the NCERT (PCM) books of 11th and 12th standard, after that go through last year's question papers for practice, coaching is helpful for guidance but at the end you need to prepare by yourself only. -

5 years agoIf you have stamina to study at least 6-8 hours then sure you will get rid of JEE Main. However, you have to solve previous year's papers and NCERT book problems. It is difficult but for guidance, you can take the help of your teachers too. You can also use apps like Unacadmy, etc.
