Get in line with the Business side of the daily news articles. Be well informed politically and know what and where you want to be in near future. Forget about how things run in an IT company and come with a blank frame of reference. Try to learn some finance basics if interested in finance. Basica

MBA is about Business Management. You can enhance your understanding of what Management is. Human Resource, Organizational Behaviour etc. I am of the view that your IT or engineering background is not a hindrance in understanding any subject of MBA.
