how can i prepare for upsc exam and from where i can take coaching

Hi Khushboo, As the Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC is a really tough Examination it would be difficult to crack it through self study, so advisable is that you should opt to prepare by joining a coaching Institute, However if you are planning for self study you hard work and time management are the only two tools to conquer such examinations. There are several books available in the market for IAS preparation namely Galgotia’s R.S Aggarwal etc. Apart from this you should read a lot to get hold on general Knowledge topics, reading newspaper, novels, listening to news would be beneficial. You may take up coaching at Chanakya or RAUs or Nirvana IAS academy which are known to have very good conversion rates. If you want to prepare on your own, I would suggest following books for prelims Quants - RS Agarwal Verbal - RS Agarwal LRDI - Nishit K Sinha GA - Spectrum+daily newspaper reading

Coaching institutes of Delhi are quite reputed and they are of short periods such as 4 to 5 months. You may join them or get study material from them. Preparation for UPSC requires consistent studies and the initial emphasis needs to be on enhancing your current affairs knowledge. You need to read news papers regularly. Read lot of GK books, discuss with fellow students.
