How can I prepare for UPSC exam?

    Hi Uzaif,
    Here are the tips:
    1.The first step I would recommended is take a print out of syllabi copy. Make sure you get acquainted with it so much so that you get it infused in your blood.
    2. Start reading newspapers, hard copy, not from phone or laptop preferably. And when you read newspaper you need to filter the news, syllabus will come in handy here and will save a lot of your time. And keep in mind that the news which are of National importance are only to be read. Forget the PIN ( person in news) kinds.
    3. Get all the NCERTs required as per the syllabi, if you are starting from basics, you can start social sciences, science from Cl

    Go through the ncert books first from class 6th to 12th as they are good for basic knowledge of the subjects then move to higher books.

    Understand the UPSC pattern and procedure first. Go through the UPSC syllabus thoroughly. Start reading a few books and watch video lectures online for a few basic subjects like polity, history, geography, etc. Read the newspaper regularly.

    Hello, First thing you have to do is to complete your graduation and then, you have to do is to see the syllabus and analyse your self that you can do it or not and then analyse that on what topic you have to work hard. After this, surely, you can start you preparation with full confidence and work more on the topic in which you are weak and make your concept clear and stronger. All the best!

    Hello Dear, Preparing UPSC you will find it very interesting. Do revise all the topics of History, Geography, Political Science that you have read in your school. Now come to the current affairs section. Do read some newspaper, read the important exam oriented issues. This will definitely help you to score a good mark in UPSC.

    The Civil Services Examination (CSE) is considered to be the mother of all written examinations. It is a curriculum heavy examination especially at the Main exam stage. A candidate, therefore, has to begin preparation for the Main Exam and then for the Prelim. This is so because, if one starts his preparation for the Main exam after the having written the Prelim exam, he will have just four months (June to October) to prepare the Optional subject, Essay and General Studies, which is almost impossible to achieve.
