    Without coaching, cracking UPSC in first attempt is a dream of many, to crack UPSC, you have to work hard and smartly.
    Follow these tips to crack in first attempt tips for crack UPSC
    Cover the whole syllabus
    Attempt mock tests
    Proper revision
    Make proper notes
    Avoid exploring new portion or topic before one month
    CSAT should be taken very seriously.
    Practice previous year question papers
    Current affairs are the most amorphous part of prelims:

No, the Commission do not mention any Minimum Qualifying Marks for the General Studies Paper 1. But there is a criteria of Minimum 33 % for the General Studies Paper 2 (Aptitude) paper.
