To pursue a career in archaeology, you can:

    • Complete high school

In India, you typically need to complete 10+2 with a focus on humanities or social sciences.

    • Earn a bachelor's degree

You can earn a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Archaeology or a related field, such as Anthropology or Ancient History.

    • Gain practical experience

You can pursue an internship or participate in field schools and workshops to gain hands-on experience.

    • Advance your education

You can pursue a Master of Arts (MA) in Archaeology to learn more about archaeological theory, methods, and fieldwork. If you want to work as an academic, you'll need a Ph.D.
