How can I pursue a degree in physics from India as I am a US citizen? Should I take JEE Mains for the same?

I belong to arts background, but I have a keen interest in science stream. I am 27 years old.

    Hi,
Indian universities require education upto grade 12 to be eligible for appearing in JEE if you are planning to do b.tech or b.e. and though upper age limit is not mentioned in the criteria, only those students who completed their 12th in 2015/16 or 2017 are eligible.
