You can apply for Diploma in fashion designing at any government college, polytechnic or state textile institute. NIFT also offers 1 year Diploma program. However, a degree program is better as it fully prepares you on the basis of the industry requirements and gives you a complete education of design and execution.
You can go for a degree program at NIFT directly in 2nd year, if you apply through lateral entry after completing your Diploma in designing.

No, your school cannot deny you the Kerala 10th admit card even if you have skipped the pre-boards exam. If they still goes on to deny you the hall ticket you can straight away write it to Pareeksha Bhavan asking them to issue your SSLC hall ticket in duplicate as your school has failed to give you. Hall ticket for the Kerala board exam is issued by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan.
