This can be via Bachelors of Science education and then completing one year certificate or diploma program in India or directly completing your MBBS degree and then apply for further studies in Medicine in USA or Canada. Hence, students must complete a four year undergraduate degree and then take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). Following the awarding of the MD, physicians who wish to practice in the United States are required to complete at least one internship year (PGY-1) and pass the USMLE .
