Appear and score well for state level lateral entry eligibility tests to secure admissions to the Second Year of a B Tech programme through lateral entry.

Yes, after doing diploma you are eligible for direct admission in 2nd year of B.tech under lateral entry program. Check you admission in some top university as:
National Institute of Engineering, Mysore
