How can I pursue Ph.D from abroad?

First of all, you need to understand the costs involved in doing Ph.D from overseas and decide on which part of the world you wish to do it, and why? Many feel that going to west like US or UK for their Ph.D will change their lives, but there are many harsh realities. You need to understand which countries are there where universities have good reputation in the areas of your interest, how much it would cost you? It may be in China or Thailand or Singapore or Germany or UK or USA or Canada or France or Spain or Italy or South Africa or Korea. What I am trying to say is that all these nations and many others have world class universities, they differ in cost, prerequisites, and most importantly affordability and acceptance. You should launch Google search on the area of your interest and should start communicating with the universities found in your search on costs, prerequisites, acceptability and feasibilities. One important factor you need to consider is also possibilities of getting job and opportunities to settle down after Ph.D, as you know overseas Ph.Ds do not receive a big welcome in India and even Harvard or Cambridge legends of Indian origin are unwanted in India, while Ph.D from Bilaspur will get greater value within India for other reasons.
