    You have to give entrance test for get admission in Phd , if you qualify NET exam then you may be exempted for test

    You'd better make a personal visit before seeking admission. Then you can have a right assessment of the competition for the seat. You can also know the chances of getting a scholarship then and you can find a professor for guiding and the possible topics for research.

    Hi,
    The eligibility criteria for Ph.D varies for every institute. However the basic requirement is a masters degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline.
    However the cut off percentages vary. Some of the institutes conduct entrance exams and some of them require atleast two research publications for the Ph.D programs. Some also require work experience of a couple of years.
    So, as per your query, I would suggest you to:
    1. Shortlist the universities where you wish to apply.
    2. Once shortlisted you may then contact the admission department of these universities to know the exact eligibility criteria for admission.
