In order to qualify for a B.Tech. course at Dayananda Sagar University, one can either perform well and get a decent, required rank in a national or state-level examination or can also get direct admission to the college. There are enough pathways that are provided by the college as a sort of opportunity to pursue a B.Tech. major at the DSU university. The details are as follows:
In order to get admission in UG courses at DSU University, a candidate must either pass COMEDK or Karnataka CET in order to avail a seat in the college through online or offline counseling after the announcement of the results of the respective entrance exams. One can also apply for the DSAT exam that is conducted by the college itself to get admission into an undergraduate course. Direct seats for DSU College can also be allotted to a candidate through management quota on 10th and 12th standard board marks.
For management quota seats, one must have a minimum of 70% in math and Science subjects separately in 10th grade and a minimum of 65% in math and physics subjects separately in 12th grade. The candidate should also appear in either KCET, COMEDK, or JEE Mains. The closing rank and cutoff of these examinations for the last year are as follows:
For COMEDK, a general rank of a maximum of 54,000 was required in order to get a B.Tech degree at the college. One should get about 45,000 to be on the safe side. After that, apply for counseling online on the official site, and choosing a BTech degree of interest can help you get a seat in it.
For KCET, a general rank of 78,000 was required for the lowest B.Tech degree, in mechanical engineering, and about 21,000 for the most demanding degree, in computer science. Applying for online counseling with the same procedure as COMEDK can be done to get a seat in the college.
One should remember that the college doesn't take admission through the result of JEE mains; therefore, one cannot apply for the college through the rank as he or she will not be able to find DSU university during the choice filling in JOSAA counseling.
