You can prepare for both simultaneously. Both the syllabuses for CAT as well as SBI-PO are more or less the same with little difference and preparation for CAT will automatically prepare you for SBI-PO. Just that the difficulty level of CAT is more as compared to PO exam and for PO you need to prepare G.K. and current affair. -

Start reading newspaper daily to increase your reading speed and grasping power. It will also help you to get in touch with basic vocab. Don't miss out the editorial page.
