How can I take admission in B.Tech lateral entry?

Any Diploma in engineering or B.Sc student from a recognised university or institute is eligible for a lateral entry admission in B.Tech 2nd-year. B.Tech lateral entry admission process varies in different engineering colleges. Admission in DTU is based on marks in Diploma in engineering. Manipal University admission is based on its B.Tech Entrance Examination. Some states conduct LEET exam for lateral entry admission in the state engineering colleges. You are advised to make target universities list and then look at their website for lateral entry admission process.

Students who have passed 3-year Diploma in Engineering are eligible for Lateral Entry (join 3rd semester of the programme). You can take admission for B.Tech lateral entry after any Diploma or Polytechnic course. Yes, you can take lateral entry admission after completing Diploma or B.Sc.
