    To get admit to MCKV Institute of Engineering for the B.Tech programme the candidate needs to qualify West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) or Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. The admissions usually commence in June and July. Please note it is mandatory to I passed 10+2 with at least 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The total intake for B.Tech is 540 seats Of which 540 seats are for students belonging to the states that come under the Sibals quota.     To become a student in MCKV Institute of Engineering and be enrolled in a B.Tech program, one is expected to write either the WBJEE or JEE Mains exam. Admission to the institute is done based on a candidate's WBJEE ranks. The minimum academic qualification required is 10+2 passing with minimum 45% marks in physics, chemistry and Mathematics (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC candidate). The final choice is based on the WBJEE rank and counseling is done by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB).
