How can I work as an research and development engineer? What skills are required for such jobs?

I am in mechanical 3rd year.

    If you wants to work in research and development then you have to do PG and then doctorate.Even after you PhD you wants to study more deeper in research then you may do Postdoc.

    You may seek job with DRDO, ISRO, CSIR etc after B.Tech to become a scientist. For R&D career M.Tech or PhD are preferred qualifications.
