    Hi,
    Media is a field which is open for all segments. It covers a wide range of courses. Both masters and Short-term courses of 3-4 months in specific fields are available. The courses provide brief outline of media industry - how different forms of media work, organizational structure, work pattern, etc.
    So you may consider Journalism or Mass Communication or Advertising or even Anchoring/Broadcasting.

    You can go straight for PG Degree in J&MC. It also depends on where you do your course too, not merely what you do.Choose a good university with good faculty and programs for proper skill and theoretical acquisition. Manipal, Nitte, EFLU, ACJ, Mascom, Jamia, IIMC, Osmania, SIMC, MICA, HCU are all the best for masscomm but in different ways. But don't end up paying more for their overspending on equipment and infrastucture that pushes up costs and fees. So check the fees before joining., In fact, ask for scholarship

    Hi,
    Media is one industry that asks for creativity as the top most criteria. Most of the media institutes conduct an entrance examination for admissions. Few institutes that you should target are MICA, IIMC, XIC, JAMIA, SIMC etc.
    For your preparation I would suggest you to go through the newspapers everyday and make a note of all the good articles or important news that you come across. You have to mug up the punch lines of various good and famous brands and also their Brand ambassadors, mug up the punch lines of various good news channels because they might ask it.
