JEE Mains and JEE Advanced are two different engineering entrance exams. JEE Mains is conducted just after 12th Boards in the month of April. Clearing Mains, you can get a rank and admission into the NITs (National Institute of Technology), IIITs, and various other colleges like Amity. Many private colleges admit students through the Mains score too. JEE Mains paper 1 has 90 MCQ Single Correct Option questions. 30 each from Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Marking Scheme is +4, -1. And full marks in 360. JEE Mains paper 2 is only for those interested in Architecture and is not for B.Tech admission, but B.Arch admissions. Clearing the cuto

No, JEE Main is not difficult. The reason which makes us feel it is difficult is the lack of basic concept and knowledge. Regular studies can get you good marks (about 180 out of 360). Try to revise concepts again and again.

I'll answer your question by telling why it's really that hard.
    1. Scoring straight A1s in 10th grade is really easy. Trust me. They give A1s easily. Plus, it's 10th grade. Everything is so easy. All you have to do is study about an hour a day and you can get straight A1s.
    2. Scoring 95% and above in 12th CBSE is NOT that hard either. It's definitely harder than 10th, but not even close to JEE level. A little more work than 10th and you have 95%-ish in PCM.
    3. JEE is where things get a little tricky. JEE requires you to have a very thorough understanding of concepts. CBSE - eh, not so much. JEE requires you to be really fast at solving pr

I will tell you that this exam is not tough at all, just make up the mind like this and then see the results. As when you think that the exam is tough/difficult then at the time of exam, even when you have studied and completed everything, you will not be able to solve the questions there which results in poor performance and you will then think that the paper is tough only. That's why, you can't be able to crack it.
